Accents you can choose from
These are the accents available across the voice library. Which ones you see depends on the language your agent speaks, since each voice belongs to one language.Hearing a voice before you use it
Every voice has a sample you can play in the dashboard, reading the same short script, so you can compare two voices fairly. This is worth doing before you go live: a voice that reads well in isolation can still be the wrong fit for your business. Listen for three things. Whether the pace suits your callers, whether it says your business name and your industry’s words correctly, and whether it still sounds right after thirty seconds rather than just in the first line. For the steps, see Choose a voice. What is not supported
- Voice cloning is not available. You cannot upload a recording of yourself or a member of your team and have your agent speak in that voice.
- One voice per agent. An agent cannot switch voice partway through a call. Run separate agents if you need different voices.
- Voices are tied to their language. Changing your agent’s language changes which voices are available, so check your voice again after a language change.
FAQ
Can I hear the voices without building an agent?
Can I hear the voices without building an agent?
Yes. Every voice has a preview sample you can play from the dashboard, reading the same script,
so you can compare accents and pick before you build anything. See
Choose a voice.
Can I use my own voice, or clone a voice?
Can I use my own voice, or clone a voice?
No. Voice cloning is not available in Brilo, so you choose from the voice library rather than
supplying a recording. If no voice in the library fits your business, contact
support@brilo.ai and tell us what you are looking for.
Which accents can my agent have?
Which accents can my agent have?
English agents can use American, British, Australian, Canadian, Indian, Irish, New Zealand,
and South African accents. Spanish agents can use Castilian or Mexican Spanish. Other
languages use the accent native to that language.
Why does my voice sound different on a real call than in the preview?
Why does my voice sound different on a real call than in the preview?
A phone line carries less of the sound than your computer speakers do, so any voice is a
little narrower on a real call. Judge a voice by calling your own agent rather than by the
preview alone. See Test your agent yourself.
Do some voices cost more than others?
Do some voices cost more than others?
No. Every voice costs the same, and your call minutes are counted the same way whichever voice
you choose. See Plans and what they include.
Can two agents use different voices?
Can two agents use different voices?
Yes. Voice is set per agent, so your after hours agent can sound different from your daytime
one. A single agent uses one voice throughout a call and cannot change it partway.
Why can I not hear a preview?
Why can I not hear a preview?
Check your browser is not muted and that it is allowed to play sound on the dashboard. If the
preview still does not play, try another browser before contacting support, since it is almost
always a browser setting rather than your account.
