# Invite your team

> Add colleagues to your Brilo workspace so they can listen to calls, edit agents, and read reports, at no extra cost per person.

Invite colleagues from **Settings**, then **Members**, at
[dashboard.brilo.ai/settings/members](https://dashboard.brilo.ai/settings/members). There is no per person
charge on any plan. Only the workspace owner can send invitations, and everyone who accepts gets the same
access to your workspace, apart from the owner's control of billing and membership.

## Before you start

* **You must be the workspace owner.** If you are not, the **Invite Members** button is not shown, and the
  owner is whoever created the workspace.
* **The email address each person will use to sign in.** An invitation is tied to that address.
* Inviting people is free on every plan, including Free. See
  [Plans and what they include](/supported/plans).

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings, then Members">
    Go to [dashboard.brilo.ai/settings/members](https://dashboard.brilo.ai/settings/members), or open
    **Settings** in the dashboard and choose **Members**. You will see everyone currently in the workspace,
    with the owner marked **Owner**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Invite Members">
    Select **Invite Members**. If you cannot see the button, you are not the workspace owner, and the owner
    needs to send the invitation instead.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter their email address">
    Type the address into **Invitee Email**. Use the address they will actually sign in with, since the
    invitation is tied to it, and check the spelling before you send: a typo means the invitation goes
    nowhere and nothing tells you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send it">
    Send the invitation. You will see **Invite sent successfully**, and the pending invitation appears in the
    **Members** list until it is accepted.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Have them accept it">
    They get an email with a link. Following it creates their account and joins them to your workspace.
    Invitations expire, so ask them to accept it rather than leaving it a fortnight.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## You will know it worked when

* They appear in the **Members** list.
* They can sign in and see your agents, your call history, and your reports.

## What your colleagues can do

Everyone in the workspace shares the same access, so treat an invitation as full access to the workspace
rather than a limited view.

|                                            | Owner | Everyone else |
| ------------------------------------------ | ----- | ------------- |
| See agents, calls, recordings, and reports | Yes | Yes |
| Create and edit agents | Yes | Yes |
| Upload knowledge and add actions | Yes | Yes |
| Buy numbers and attach them to agents | Yes | Yes |
| Manage the subscription and billing | Yes | No |
| Invite and remove members | Yes | No |

There are no configurable roles, so you cannot currently give somebody a read only view or hide call
recordings from them. See [Who can do what](/account/who-can-do-what).

## Cancelling an invitation before it is accepted

A pending invitation can be withdrawn. Open its options in the **Members** list and choose **Delete Invite**.
Do that if you sent it to the wrong address, then send a fresh one to the right one.

## Removing somebody

The owner removes a member from the **Members** list using **Delete**. Do it the day they leave rather than at
the end of the month, since a member keeps full access to your agents and your call recordings until they are
removed.

Removing somebody does not delete anything they created. Their agents, uploads, and call history stay in
the workspace.

## If it did not work

**You cannot see the invite control.** You are not the workspace owner. Ask whoever created the workspace.

**Your colleague never got the email.** Ask them to check spam, and confirm the address you used is the one
they read mail on. If it has been a while, the invitation may have expired: send a new one.

**They accepted but see nothing.** Check they signed in with the invited address rather than a different
one, which is the usual cause.

## FAQ

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How many people can I invite?">
    There is no per person limit or charge on any plan, so invite everyone who needs to hear calls or read
    reports. Every plan includes team members, including Free.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does each person cost extra?">
    No. Brilo charges for your plan, your call minutes, and your phone numbers, not per user. Adding five
    colleagues costs nothing. See [How billing works](/account/how-billing-works).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who can invite people?">
    Only the workspace owner, which is whoever created the workspace. Everyone else does not see the invite
    control at all, so if it is missing you are not the owner.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I stop someone seeing call recordings?">
    Not today. Everyone in the workspace can see agents, calls, and recordings, and there are no
    configurable roles or permissions. Invite people on that basis, and if you need restricted access, tell
    [support@brilo.ai](mailto:support@brilo.ai) so it counts towards building it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can somebody I invite change my agent?">
    Yes. Everyone in the workspace can edit agents, upload knowledge, and change actions. If you want to
    protect a working agent from an accidental edit, save a version first so you can roll back. See
    [Versions](/agents/versions).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can two people be the owner?">
    No. A workspace has one owner, who controls billing and membership. Bear that in mind when deciding
    whose account creates the workspace, since the owner is the only person who can manage the
    subscription.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I remove someone?">
    The owner opens their options in the **Members** list and chooses **Delete**. Do it the day they leave,
    because until then they keep full access to your agents and your call recordings. Nothing they created is
    deleted.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why has my invite not arrived?">
    Usually spam, a mistyped address, or an invitation that has expired. Confirm the address, cancel the old
    one with **Delete Invite**, then send a fresh invitation rather than waiting on it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I cancel an invitation I already sent?">
    Yes. Open the pending invitation's options in the **Members** list and choose **Delete Invite**. Do that
    whenever one has gone to the wrong address, rather than leaving it live.
  </Accordion>
