# Connected apps

> See which AI apps, such as ChatGPT and Claude, can read your Brilo workspace, who approved each one, and how to disconnect them.

Connected apps lists the AI apps that can read your Brilo agents and calls, such as ChatGPT, Claude
and Claude Code. A connection is made inside the AI app, when someone in your workspace signs in to
Brilo and allows it. Connected apps can read your agents, calls and call totals. They can't make
calls or change anything. In a HIPAA workspace they read agents and call totals only.

Use a connected app when a person uses ChatGPT or Claude with Brilo. Use an API key when your own
software calls Brilo. Phone assistants you paired are listed separately, under **Connected
assistants** on the **API Keys** page.

## See what is connected

Open **Settings**, then **Integrations**, then **Connected apps**. Every member of the workspace can
see this page.

* The summary at the top shows how many connections are live, how many data requests they made in
the last 7 days, and which connection ends next.
* Each connection has its own row, with the app, who approved it and when, when it was last used,
and when its access ends. When two people each connect the same app, you see two rows.
* Open a row to see what the app can see, its **Activity** (when it was connected, from which
device and IP address, and when it was used) and its **Data requests** (each request it made in
  the last 90 days).

A connection ends 90 days after it was approved, or after 30 days without use. A connection that
ends within 14 days is marked with how many days are left.

## Disconnect an app

The workspace owner, or the person who approved the connection, can disconnect it. Other members
see who can.

**1. Open the connection**

In **Connected apps**, select the connection's row.

**2. Select Disconnect**

At the bottom of the panel, select the **Disconnect** button with the app's name.

**3. Confirm**

Check who approved it and when, then select **Disconnect**. Select **Keep it** to change your
mind.

The app stops reading your workspace right away: its next request is refused. Other connections,
including another person's connection to the same app, keep working. To reconnect later, start
again from the app.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Disconnecting stops new reads. The app may keep what it already received, such as earlier
> answers in a chat. Ask the app's maker if you need that removed.

## Past connections

Connections that ended in the last 90 days are listed under **Past connections**. Open one to see
its Activity and Data requests. Each shows why it ended.

| What the row says | What happened |
| - | - |
| Disconnected by a person | Someone in the workspace disconnected it in Brilo |
| Disconnected from the app | It was removed from Brilo inside ChatGPT or Claude |
| Stopped to protect your data | The sign in the app uses was used a second time, which can mean it was copied, so Brilo cut it off right away |
| Ended when a person left the workspace | The person who approved it was removed from the workspace |
| Expired after 90 days | Every connection ends 90 days after it was approved |
| Ended after 30 days without use | The app did not use the connection for 30 days |
| Ended because Brilo stopped supporting the app | Brilo no longer accepts connections from that app |

To use the app again after any of these, start again from the app.

## FAQ

> [accordion] Does a connected app use one of my API keys?
>
> No. A connected app signs in to Brilo as the person who approved it and never sees your API
> keys. API keys are for your own software. See
> [Connect Claude or ChatGPT](https://docs.brilo.ai/api-reference/mcp/claude-and-chatgpt.md).

> [accordion] Can I change what an app can see?
>
> Not from this page. What an app can see is chosen on the Brilo page that appears when the
> connection is allowed. To change it, disconnect the app and connect it again from the app. See
> [Connect Claude or ChatGPT](https://docs.brilo.ai/api-reference/mcp/claude-and-chatgpt.md).

> [accordion] Why is the same app listed more than once?
>
> Each connection is listed on its own, with who approved it, for example when two people each
> connect ChatGPT. Disconnecting one leaves the others working. See
> [Disconnect an app](#disconnect-an-app).

> [accordion] Why did a connection end on its own?
>
> Connections end after 90 days, after 30 days without use, or when the person who approved it
> leaves the workspace. Brilo also stops a connection to protect your data. The reason is on the
> row. See [Past connections](#past-connections).

> [accordion] Who can see this page?
>
> Every member of the workspace. Only the workspace owner, or the person who approved a
> connection, can disconnect it. See [Who can do what](https://docs.brilo.ai/account/who-can-do-what.md).
